The Comfort Light Range has a double-layer construction in the upper body area for maximum comfort and insulation and a single-layer construction in the head and foot area where less pressure is exerted on the mat.

Air Sprung Cells
Air Sprung Cells are the core technology of the Sea to Summit sleeping mat range. Instead of a typical partition wall construction, Sea to Summit sleeping mats are provided with a spot-welded construction of interconnected chambers that form a large-area matrix. These chambers are called "Air Sprung Cells". They function like pocket spring mattresses with each chamber deforming independently so that the mattress can adapt to the shape of the body. This construction makes the mats softer and more comfortable, provides a larger body contact area and balanced pressure distribution.

Exkin Platinum
Exkin Platinum is a super light, noiseless material with a thin metallic surface. Exkin Platinum Thermal Technology reflects heat radiation back to the user.

Thermolite
Thermolite insulation, designed for ultimate performance, is made of special fibres that provide a high CLO value at low weight. Thermolite HL-1 High Loft insulation is a textile fibre filling of unique 3D frills with solid and hollow core fibres that combine outstanding, light heat with excellent durability. The Thermolite insulation spreads within the Air Jump Cells to prevent convection heat loss from the warm body to the floor. To achieve the best possible effect, a combination of Exkin Platinum and Thermolite is used in all versions of the insulated sleeping mats.

Extrusion TPU lamination
The TPU coating is applied in a special way that was previously used exclusively in the medical and aviation industry. In addition, an antimicrobial treatment was integrated into the TPU to prevent mould inside the mat.

40D Nylon
A 40D ripstop nylon material has been developed for the surfaces of the mats, which offers the ideal mix of weight and durability. Light, white TPU is attached to the inside, making the material airtight and weldable. A thin PU film is applied to the outside to make the surface non-slip, to protect it against pinching and to make repairs with self-adhesive patches easier.

Multi-function Valve
Sea to Summit has developed a multifunctional valve to facilitate inflation and deflation. This is a single valve that can be used in three different ways. Through the first, large opening, the mat can be inflated quickly without letting air escape. By pressing your finger against the opening, it lets some air out so that you can adjust the pressure of the mat. If you open both valve openings on top of each other, you can let all the air escape at once, which makes the daily fight to pack the mat even easier. Both valve openings are clearly marked so that they cannot be confused.
