Shimano has earned itself a worldwide reputation with its Deore XT group in the field of mountain bike circuits. The new XT group was completely revised and optimsed and was equipped with the Side Swing technology.
The Side Swing technology offers you a drastic improvement in switching performance. Designed with modern trail bikes in mind, it offers 15 mm more clearance between the seat tube and the tyres, while the completely revised and optimised cable control reduces operating forces during shifting.
The multi-adapter allows mounting on tubes with 28.6 and 31.8 mm diameter. Without adapter, the front derailleur fits 34.9 mm.
The pull on Shimano front derailleurs with Side Swing technology is in front. Therefore, the cable must be installed inside or above the down tube.
