As the interaction between the rider and their drive system takes place primarily via the shift levers, these man-machine interfaces were given the highest priority in the Deore XT M8000 group.The shift and release levers feature tactile different surfaces as well as Optislick cables which reduce shifting forces by 20%. Instant release, multi release and 2-way release provide fast and flexible operation. The further optimised Vivid Index mechanism gives clear tactile feedback and precision.
