Especially for an aggressive riding style, SHIMANO has developed a resistant, stiff, but also light crank set, which has a steel axle and threaded pedal sleeves made of steel. By using a solid crank arm and a hollow axle, SHIMANO has found the perfect balance between rigidity, load capacity and turning ability. With SHIMANO's own forging technology, the developers were able to integrate a hollow inner bearing, which ensures high rigidity and low weight, thus ensuring a balanced relationship between these two properties.
