For gravity riders who need high stability in critical situations, SHIMANO has the SAINT 10-speed rear derailleur with SHADOW PLUS technology. This technology, which was first introduced for the XTR rear derailleur, was adapted for the SAINT rear derailleur and enables an extremely quiet drivetrain system for gravity disciplines. A switch activates a stabiliser that stabilises the rear derailleur cage when the chain moves up and down in rough terrain. However, to install and remove the rear wheel, the switch must be set to the "Off" position.
