Shimano Saint

A corporation with over 90 years of existence, Shimano is a cutting-edge player in the creation of new technologies. It develops products in response to the demands of cyclists throughout the world, using premium materials, unique technology, and creative concepts.

SAINT gives you complete control over your bike because of its unmatched durability, stability, and ergonomics. Designed for the competitive downhill racer, it allows for World Cup-level acceleration and deceleration. This group set is for you if you wish to sharpen your focus and concentration for nerve-wracking downhill rides.

Shimano Saint Brakes

Few brakes have a racing legacy as illustrious as that of the Shimano Saint, a brake used by some of the quickest riders in the world. Installing a Saint on your bike is a declaration that gravity is everything while you ride. Time and time again, the quad-piston calliper's 16/18 mm ceramic pistons deliver tremendous deceleration. Long banjos, finer pads, and Ice-Tech rotors with aluminium cores all exhibit excellent heat management. The levers are incredibly ergonomic and deliver bursts of power with the slightest contact.

Due to the big piston rollback and the ease of bleeding with the Shimano bleed kit, a drag-free setup is simple to achieve even with lengthy pads. Although they are more grabbable than the top 4 brakes in this test, on the terrain, deceleration is powerful but manageable. And a little touch produces nice modulation while a firm pull feels like tossing a stick in the spokes.

A heavy performer, the Shimano Saint is provided with tremendous weight! The Saints will shake your world if you reside in the Alps or enjoy dizzying G-forces.

Shimano Saint pedals

Shimano's Saint M821 gravity pedal range is the company's top-tier offering. So it's not surprising how these pedals are a significant amount heavier and burlier than the company's other products.

The M821 is as effective in trails and enduro applications even though it was made to resist the rigours of downhill racing. As long as you don't obsess about every gram of weight, that is.

The Saints' side profile is tapered, although to a lesser extent; it narrows from 19 millimeters from around axles to 12 millimetres at the trailing and leading edges.

They are also wider, with 4 pins studding each side, and have a larger machined flat portion in the middle.

Although Shimano's Saint M821 pedals may not offer the nicest foot feel of just about any platform SPD on the market or be the lightest at 552g, if you're seeking a truly durable pair of pedals with a smooth clipping action, these are definitely worth taking into consideration.
