Hollowtech II
The development of the Hollowtech II crankset took place with a view to optimal and efficient power transmission. Hollowtech technology enables extremely light, hollow crank arms manufactured using Shimano's exclusive forging technology for maximum rigidity. The new M7000 brakes of the SLX follow the "Rider Tuned" principle and can be optimally adapted to the terrain, riding style or personal preferences of the rider. The ergonomic Servo-Wave brake levers, among other things, are responsible for the high braking performance with low operating forces. The BR-M7000 brake calipers can be equipped with resin or metal linings with or without cooling fins to further customise the system. This GS version with medium cage (RD-M7000-11-GS) for 1x11 and 2x11 systems is designed for a total capacity of up to 41 teeth.
