The ELIPS is presented in 3 versions: battery powered, dynamo powered and in a version compatible for e-bikes (voltage range 6-36VDC). The elegant ELIPS taillight features a groundbreaking, unique Light Line Technology. 6 super bright LEDs and the integrated large Z-reflector offer optimal safety and an excellent viewing distance from the rear and from the sides (320° visibility). All 3 models fit all types of carrier sizes with bolt spacing of 50 mm and 80 mm.
Performance
The battery-operated model is equipped with 2x AAA batteries (included with the rear light) and offers a burning time of over 50 hours. It has a battery charge indicator and the batteries can be easily replaced without tools.

The lamp feels all the properties described 100 percent and was the right purchase decision in my opinion. Even if, unfortunately, the defect already described by other customers, the unfortunately already attached fastening bolts, of course in the wrong place, namely the outer 80 mm distance, also happened. Unfortunately, the necessary sealing caps for the now existing holes of the outer attachment points were missing when using the pre-punched inner 50 mm attachment points, which inevitably leads to a loss of the otherwise excellent watertightness of the light.
In any case, the seller should also approach the manufacturer again in order to prevent the fastening bolts from being pre-assembled at the factory and rather to have the bolts with nuts etc. loosely enclosed as assembly accessories. Otherwise, two caps are included.
I now had to cut a mounting plate from aluminum sheet and mounted the light on it and then attached the unit to the luggage rack. Therefore in the rating only 4 out of 5 stars.
However, the lamp is still as delivered from the factory and is accordingly watertight and there is nothing standing in the way of a possible later warranty claim.
Apart from this, for me small, defect, a great rear light, extremely good illumination and visibility, at a good price/performance ratio.
Clear purchase recommendation for everyone who can tinker a little!

The light output is perfect, even when it's dark. The assembly, however, is poorly solved. The specification 5 and 8 cm is misleading. Pre-drilled holes are only 8 cm apart. The fact that you need a drill for assembly cannot be the solution. And if you do drill the holes, you have two free holes in which water can penetrate unhindered. Then at least rubber covers should be included.
