Used several times with thermal underwear, on days around 7-8 degrees, the jacket performed very well. Uphill it easily allows perspiration (generally I slightly lower the zip) and downhill it offers the necessary wind protection. I haven't tried it in the rain yet but also considering the internal heat seals, I think it won't leave much to be desired. Very satisfied with the product and even more with the purchase price, far below the manufacturer's recommended cost.
