The Force rear derailleur is equipped with Exact Actuation, a transmission ratio that enables precise switching distances of 3 mm over the entire transmission range. It offers a multitude of adjustment options and thus the best 10-speed performance in this sport. The ‘mid-cage’ rear derailleur has a longer cage and a slightly modified geometry, Making it perfect for cassettes with a large range of gears. This system offers a larger range of gears than a standard system with three chainrings and saves a good 250 grams of weight compared to this.

The Force rear derailleur is manufactured from state-of-the-art materials. For example, the outer cage is made of carbon and the inner parallelogram arm is made of magnesium.

EXACT ACTUATION
When we first introduced our racing bike technologies, we again used our proven SRAM MTB 1 to 1 transmission ratio (spring travel gear shift cable rear derailleur movement). EXACT ACTUATION helps to achieve a simpler and more stable balance between rear derailleur suspension design, narrow sprocket gaps and precise tension. The result: the easiest index shifting system to set up—and it stays that way.

WiFLi = Wider - Faster - Lighter
SRAM's WiFLi technology is based on the compact 2x10 design of SRAM Apex and Rival - two chainrings at the front and ten gears at the rear. This results in a wider gear range than with conventional triple chainrings and, thanks to the two chainrings and ten gears, enables faster gear changes at a significantly reduced weight.
