The VAUDE "PVC-free" seal means that this product is made completely without PVC (polyvinyl chloride). Looks like truck tarpaulin, is just as durable and waterproof, but is made of PU (polyurethane) coated textile fabric instead of PVC. PVC often contains plasticizers (phthalates), which are suspected of being harmful to health.

Eco Finish
This water and dirt repellent finish is applied to the outer fabric of your product. As a result, raindrops bead off - and without the use of environmentally harmful fluorocarbons (PFC).
