Enough suspension to take on any trail, an agile, balanced geometry and 27.5" wheels provide a dynamic platform for active uphill and downhill rides. The new VMs is crisp, light and effective enough to fight an alpine cross or marathon, but become a flow hunter and curve robber on fast local trails.
The new VMs has a short-stroke, s-version shock with 140 mm drive-neutral travel in the rear as well as the front. This model stands on 27.5" wheels and offers ample tyre clearance. Featuring a Boost standard frame and fork, integrated cables as well as trunnion mounted metric shock; the chassis of the VMs provides a future-proof foundation for long-time trail camaraderie. With a long reach and a deep centre of gravity, the rider is positioned centrally on the bike. The steep angle of the seat makes tough climbs easy, whilst the moderately flat 67.5 degree steering angle strikes the right balance between aggression and agility. A flip chip on the rear allows additional fine adjustments of the geometry to the driving style or terrain. The lightweight and sturdy design of the VMs supports its agile trail bike character: tubeless optimised wheels from SRAM, Raceface and DT- Swiss always come with wide rims and tyres. A high-quality remote seatpost, snappy disc brakes, Ergon components, LevelNine and Race Face complete the lightweight bike. For professional tuning, you will find a tubeless kit, damper pump and a torque wrench included.
Maybe you are looking for greater ride stability than the VMs offers – without sacrificing trail feedback? In this case, we’d recommend the 29" VOTEC VXs with 120 mm chassis. However, if you are looking for better reserves and downhill potential, the VOTEC VM is the right partner with for you – with more spring travel, more aggressive geometry and specially adapted components.
