The CR-A03 chain tensioner is the best I've ever screwed onto a geared bike. I have to contradict that it is not suitable for withdrawal hubs. In the meantime I have built it on 5 bicycles with hub gears, 4 of which were with retraction. The coaster brake works with a minimal delay, just long enough for the chain to tighten. If you step forward again, the brake is released again. Above all, I am grateful that I have never had to do this annoying chain retensioning since assembly. The bare metal parts should, however, be made of stainless steel.
