First of all, this product only works with dropouts for quick releases and an "integrated" derailleur hanger (ie not with the cheap ones that are only clamped into the dropout).
Second, the range for the chain is rather small. With other chain tensioners, the "pulley" can be adjusted so that it fits perfectly into the perfect chain line (e.g. Point Standard chain tensioner). I had to modify this one with washers.
Third, the "wavy" chain rolls very audibly on the flat orange surface in contrast to a "wavy" pulley on a rear derailleur.
Although it is well made and cheap, it only serves the purpose moderately and there are enough comparable products.
