The XLC Comfort Pedal PD-C08 is an elegant 'low profile' pedal for touring and city use. The pedal body is made of polished aluminium, the pedal cage of non-slip plastic. The CNC-machined CroMo axis shines with a high-quality, sealed cartridge bearing. The weight is only 260 g per pair.
Cartridge bearings
Cartridge bearings are the most commonly used bearing types in bicycles today.The manufacturer inserts, adjusts and presses all necessary rolling bearings into a so-called cartridge. As a result, these bearings are protect well against dust and dirt and no further adjustment is required during mounting. They are therefore absolutely maintenance-free.
