Maxxis Ardent Race Folding Tyre 27.5x2.20" 3C Maxxspeed TR EXO

The Ardent Race fills the gap between the Icon and the Ardent, between fast XC tyres and trail tyres. Its profile is medium high, the centre studs are narrow but leave enough space for good self-cleaning and are bevelled for lower rolling resistance. The side studs are angled and offset and bite into the ground on curves. This makes the Ardent Race the right tyre for all-round use and on the trails.

Technologies
Foldable beadcore
Rings made of Kevlar or another aramid fibre also hold the ring securely on the rim. Additional advantages are the light weight and easy transportation thanks to small packing volume.

Tubeless Ready (TR)
Tubeless tyres have many advantages: you can ride with less air pressure for better traction, rolling resistance is lower than with tubing, and where there is no tubing, the risk of puncture is reduced. Maxxis TR tyres are better prepared for mounting with sealing milk than other tubeless ready tyres because the bead is completely covered with a rubber layer like a real UST tubeless tyre. Thus the tubeless mounting is successful with all standard dimension rims from the first inflation and with little liquid.

3C MaxxSpeed
Maxxis 3C compound for XC and some AllMountain/Enduro tyres is designed for low rolling resistance due to its hard substructure and the fast compound in the centre of the tread. It has a grippy compound on the sides that offers superior grip on curves - even in the wet. A typical feature of Maxxis is its very long service life.

EXO Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewalls of various MTB tyres. It’s very densely woven, light and very flexible, and thus the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.
