Road bike seatposts: rigid, stable and light
All road bike seatposts should be rigid, stable and light. Clamping the saddle with one or two bolts, they allow stepless adjustment of the saddle angle and its distance from the handlebars. Road bike seatposts are usually light aluminium or carbon models. Typically, they're significantly shorter than their mountain bike counterparts, as road bike frames are taller. When choosing a seatpost, think about weight, material, number of bolts and whether you want a 'set back' seatpost to put your position further away from the bars and further behind the bottom bracket. Aero-profiled seatposts are also available.
