Maxxis Dissector Folding Tyre 29x2.40" WT DD TR 3C MaxxGrip black

Troy Brosnan wanted to create a unicorn of hoops. A tire that rolls incredibly fast, cuts through corners precisely and decelerates well when needed. The tread pattern of Rekon, Minion DHF and HighRoller II was taken as a starting point for this and was designed in close cooperation with Troy during the 2018 World Cup season.
The DH version of the DISSECTOR is perfectly suited as a rear tyre, whether for racing or in the bike park. The trail version also makes sense on the front wheel if you want a front tyre that rolls easily and has good grip.

WIDE TRAIL CASING
The Wide Trail (WT) construction optimises the tread layout and shape of the tyre on today's modern wider rims. Traditional tires are designed for narrow rims and get a too square shape on wide rims, resulting in less than optimal performance. WT tires are optimized for an inner rim width of 35 mm, but work excellently on all rims with an inner dimension between 30 and 39 mm. The following MTB tire widths are available in WT construction: 2.40WT / 2.50WT / 2.60WT wide tires have basically a WT construction, but no WT marking on the tire sidewall.

DOUBLE DOWN
Doubledown tyres are constructed like downhill tyres: two carcass plies reinforced with a butyl insert in the sidewall. However, thanks to two 120 TPI (instead of 60TPI) carcass plies and aramid bead, they are significantly lighter than downhill tyres, much more stable and robust than our TR + EXO tyres and therefore ideal for hard Enduro courses.
