Rabeneick TC-E Deore 10-Speed Disc Diamond black matte (black matte)

Due to bottlenecks and delays in worldwide supply chains, the manufacturer may have replaced individual components from the original specification with equivalent or even higher quality components. Therefore, the bicycle delivered may deviate from the images in certain cases.

Unless stated otherwise all of our bikes and brake accessories are sold according to the EU standard brake setup (right hand rear and left hand front) which is in reverse to UK standard brake setup.

Please note: the majority of our electronic products that come with plugs are fitted with 2-pronged EU plugs as standard. The operating voltage remains the same, however you may require an additional, simple EU to UK adapter to use them

Picture only similar! Contrary to the picture, the bike is delivered with a man's frame.

Only very small details reveal that the TC-E e-trekking bike is an e-bike at all. The rear wheel drive is similar in size to a hub dynamo, the battery is completely integrated into the down tube and the charging socket is hidden above the bottom bracket, protected from weather and dirt.

Smart and easy The e-bike is operated via smartphone using the free Rabeneick My Bike app, without an additional display or control element. Here, too, less is more.

For the trekking e-bike, which is available in two frame shapes, all components were selected with purist design in mind. The TC-E combines a sporty character with great suitability for everyday use. The reliable Shimano Deore with 10 gears offers the best in shifting performance and the aluminium frame provides high rigidity for top driving characteristics. Comfort is provided by Schwalbe Energizer Active Plus tyres, a saddle from Selle Royal and the multiple award-winning GP1-Griffe grips from Ergon.

Disc brakes by Shimano decelerate precisely and ensure safe handling. The LED lighting system by Herrmanns (front) and Busch & Müller (rear), the practical Racktime luggage rack and SKS mudguards with edge protectors complete the day-to-day equipment of the TC-E.

My first e-bike

A really nice bike, on which you really only see the E at third glance. It does what it's supposed to and gets me about 11 miles one way to work every day. The battery is sufficient for this, but unfortunately it will be tight for further. But, you can also ride very well without assistance. The only major flaw and therefore only 3 stars, the app. Rabeneick's own app doesn't work as well as it should. Alternatively, there is the original app from Bafang, on which the Rabeneick app is based. It works better, but has many functions that are not available for this bike. But even that constantly loses the connection to the bike. It's really nice..., unfortunately, you have to say that, given the current state of the art. Unfortunately, this bike can only be controlled via the app, there is no way to lure the small button out of a different function by pressing it at different intervals, and you will look in vain for a small remote control on the handlebars. So if the cell phone is empty, bad luck. Then only the last saved setting works. All in all, it is good value for money, but at the recommended retail price I would have sent it back.

From 0 to 25 km/h in 1-2 seconds is probably the highlight, the bad thing you can't ride much faster because the bike is blocked by the motor even if you have the battery out, that's probably due to the sensors in the bottom bracket. If you start driving without a battery, the speed is low, so the sensors react that you want to drive slowly, what nonsense?
