Product description

Ritchey Comp Beacon Road Handlebar Ø31,8mm bb black (bb black)

The ergonomic evolution of Ritchey handlebars continues with the ground-breaking Comp Beacon. The most notable feature is its super-wide 36° drop flare. Aside from the unmatched ergonomic comfort and stability afforded by this wide flare, it also allows for plenty of space for handlebar packs.

When riding in the drops, the Beacon doubles down on comfort with a very shallow 80mm drop and a shorter than usual reach. The Evo-style top section offers broad support for your hands, and it has a gentle backward sweep for a more natural hand position when riding the tops.

The unconventional aesthetic of the Comp Beacon belies its comfort and practicality. Taking inspiration from the randonneur world, the Beacon allows an easy transition of the hands around the bar without upsetting bike handling when loaded with gear. The gentle change of hand position allows the body to stretch and move while keeping the bike stable.

Ideal for adventure touring and bikepacking, on asphalt or gravel trails - or even for urban riding - the unique Comp Beacon brings a whole new level of comfort and control.

Ritchey Comp Beacon Road Handlebar Ø31,8mm bb black
Peter
Best gravel handlebar ever
Translated from the German To the original
I'm struggling and sometimes struggling with the racing handlebar itself. The fact that the wide gravel versions offer more grip options is an advantage. But because I'm only 172 tall, I don't understand why the brake and shift levers are so abnormally long?? If I have the end position of the control units in the right place, the cross bar is far too close to the body. At the same time, the reach is too short to find a conclusive position in the down tube grip. At the moment I'm just twisting myself without feeling any effect. Next, the croissants come in a straight position to get more traction on the hands - maybe the stem a little longer and with the saddle behind....,🤔
