The new SAINT focuses entirely on the gravity sector in the mountain bike sector, a statement that is more than clearly underpinned by the features of this new group. To ensure that the new SAINT sets standards even under the toughest conditions in downhill races, the component group was developed in close cooperation with professional racers such as Aaron Gwin and Gee Atherton. These riders have provided the SHIMANO engineers and designers with invaluable input on where and how to further improve the previous SAINT to get the best performance on the track.
The new SAINT is first and foremost characterised by unbeatable braking performance and the ability to adjust the dosage of its Ice-Tech disc brake system. A high-performance four-piston brake caliper with ceramic pistons and one-way bleeding ensures this impressive performance.

Slightly heavier than XTR but Bremspower without end. Have my XT exchanged for Saint, and finally I (85kg +) even in steepest passages enough dosable power on the front and rear wheel. Resin pads and Freeza discs fit perfectly.
Etwas schwerer als XTR aber Bremspower ohne Ende. Habe meine XT gegen Saint getauscht, und endlich habe ich ( 85kg+) auch in steilsten Passagen genug dosierbare Power auf dem Vorder- u. Hinterrad. Resinbeläge und Freeza-scheiben passen perfekt.
