Product description
VAUDE Flocke Backpack 6l Kids calf (calf)
The Vaude Flocke backpack for children has a lot to offer. In addition to the mesh pockets for water bottles on the outside of the rucksack, it also has an attachment possibility for a jacket or similar in the rucksack animal's mouth. For the collectors of treasures among the little ones there is a secret hiding place on the inside of the front flap, so that the important things are always well stowed away. The Easy Fit shoulder straps can be closed crosswise so that the backpack always lies comfortably on your back.
Organic Cotton
Vaude's Organic Cotton label guarantees the use of certified organic cotton. Chemical fertilizers and pesticides are taboo, as are GM seeds. Worldwide, 25% of all insecticides and 11% of all pesticides are used for conventional cotton, even though cotton only accounts for 2% of global agricultural areas. Organic cotton helps reduce the use of these poisons.
Recycled Materials
Vaude uses recycled materials, e.g. PET bottles, to manufacture this product. This saves up to 50 % energy and CO2 emissions as well as fossil raw materials. For further details see care label in the product.
Renewable Materials
VAUDE uses renewable raw materials of vegetable or animal origin to manufacture this product. This saves fossil raw materials. For further details see care label in the product.
Hemp
This product includes natural hemp fibers. Hemp is a hardy, robust plant that is naturally resilient and fast-growing. It requires little water for cultivation, no fertilizers and no pesticides. This makes it an eco-friendly, renewable resource. Fibers obtained from the stalks are spun to make hard-wearing fabrics. These fabrics are then used to create high-quality, durable products that highlight VAUDE’s commitment to sustainability.
Eco Finish
VAUDE products with Eco Finish are environmentally friendly and water-repellent without fluorocarbons (PFC). PFC belong to a group of chemical compounds that are used in many outdoor products to impregnate the outer fabric. They have been criticised for not being degradable, accumulating in the body and being suspected of being harmful to health. VAUDE has a clear commitment not to use PFC at all.
Green Shape
Green Shape is the VAUDE seal of approval for products that are manufactured in a particularly environmentally friendly manner. This includes the complete production cycle from development and production to maintenance and usability after use. The criteria for this are strict. The products must consist either of at least 90 percent organically grown cotton, recycled materials or the Tencel wood fibre. Furthermore, they must have been dyed with the environmentally friendly dyeing process VAUDE eColour or meet the world's strictest environmental textile standard Bluesign. VAUDE's goal is the best for man and nature.
Fair Wear Foundation
VAUDE is committed to good working conditions and fair wages for all and is a member of the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF). In this way, Vaude undertakes to continuously improve working conditions in all production facilities. These are regularly checked. VAUDE has achieved the highest status as an FWF member with the Leader Status.
