Trailers are perfect for transporting large amounts of luggage by bike. Instead of attaching heavy or bulky objects to the bike itself, you can pull the entire load behind it. You have the choice between two-wheeled trailers, which offer a wider surface and are more stable, or one-wheeled trailers, which often have an even deeper centre of gravity and follow the bike more closely. With the first type, a flexible coupling on the rear wheel axle ensures largely unimpaired handling. With single-wheeled trailers, there's usually a rigid connection between bike and trailer.
