To ensure that functional clothing lasts longer, is comfortable and doesn't lose its breathability or protective properties, careful care is required. For clothing made of functional fibres and merino wool, carefully follow care instructions and use special detergents, as these impair the fibres' moisture transport. It's also worth regularly impregnating water-repellent clothing and treating leather shoes with a suitable leather care product. To impregnate rain jackets or rain trousers, there are sprays and detergent additives that impregnate the fabric while washing. This is particularly recommended for membranes such as Gore Tex.
