Others on the market are made from a nylon/lycra blend that tends to retain moisture, but Castelli knew they could achieve better moisture management with a polyester yarn. However, working with polyester it is more difficult to achieve the right stretch, recovery and manufacturing consistency. These gauntlets are very popular with professionals because they are crazy light and extremely warm for their weight, but they don't overheat even in milder conditions.
