The fabric sheds water at an amazing rate but also breathes to keep you from getting wet from the inside. The stretch inserts allow us to create a close, more aerodynamic fit so the jacket doesn't flap in the breeze like those old-school rain jackets. Since this jacket might be on for a while, we've added pockets to the back for quick access to what you might need. And since this is a rain jacket, we've added drain holes to the pockets so they don't fill up with water. Even with all this, the jacket will still pack down to fit in a pocket should the rain stop and the sun come out.
