Because of that, a 6mm hexagon socket is necessary for assembly as stated in the operating instructions ... It's an 8 mm, be careful! Very annoying because 8 mm is rather unusual, so I have to go to the hardware store before assembly

Thanks to the large contact surface and the pins, good grip on both sides.
There is a star deduction, because the black lacquer scratches very quickly, especially if you step on the 'flat' side with the cleats.
I bought the pedals in action for 60.- and I'm satisfied so far, but for the full price of 100.- I would have expected a bit more robustness.
