The Gauge BOA is the athletic approach to mountain bike shoes. It combines cycling-specific features such as clipless pedal compatibility with the comfort of a trail running shoe and the reliable traction of the aggressive rubber lug profile. The upper shoe is made of sturdy synthetic fibers and breathable mesh, as well as a nylon shank that provides optimal power transmission. With the BOA closure, putting on and taking off and adjustment is no problem. The Gauge is the all-rounder for trail riding, bike packing, touring or e-bike.

The shoes initially made a good impression, but after the first rides, a few shortcomings became apparent:
1. The flap (tongue) always slips outwards, does not stay in the middle despite the BOA closure being tightened. There are uncomfortable pressure points
2. the shoes creak! the rope rubs in the eyelets and makes noise under load
3. the profile and thus the grip when walking are good
4. the shoes are comfortable and still offer excellent stiffness under load
Ok as a second shoe, but wouldn't buy them again
