The magped safety pedal is the pedal innovation for mountain bikes and e-bikes. Due to the use of the patented magnetic mechanism, a safe, quick and easy removal of the foot from the pedal is possible at any time. The risk of falling and injury is reduced to an absolute minimum compared to pedals with fixed connections - and the head remains free for enjoyable biking without fear. The manufacturer recommends a magnetic strength of 150N for riders 65-90 kg and 200N for riders >75 kg.

Round step
The magped pedal makes a round step possible, since both the muscle extensors (70%) and the muscle flexors (30%) of the leg musculature are evenly stressed. So even longer bike tours become pure pleasure.

Weight
The magped pedal is a modern and high quality flat pedal made of light CNC milled aluminium and a CrMo spindle. The weight including the patented magnet system is only 452g (100N magnet) or 474g (150N magnet) per pair.

Position
The pedal allows a slight rotation of the shoe and thus protects the joints when pedalling. The position can also be varied forwards and backwards without changing the traction force, making it easy to find the ideal position for both ascents and descents.

Traction
Depending on the selected magnetic strength, the shoe is held magnetically on the pedal with up to 15 kg pulling force. The pulling force acts mainly vertically and a lateral detachment from the pedal is possible almost without noticeable resistance. But also a quick and easy release in critical situations directly to the top is no problem.

Technology
The magped pedal is equipped with 3 high quality sealed industrial ball bearings. The pins of the pedal can be changed if necessary. The height of the Neodymium high performance magnet is adjustable via a special integrated polymer suspension.
