Maxxis Ikon Folding Tyre 29x2.20" 3C MaxxSpeed EXO TR Tanwall black/light brown

A real racing tyre for real racers. Large volume, fast, with lots of grip - the IKON delivers exemplary performance in a wide range of ground conditions, on hard to loose soils. On rocks and roots, even when it is wet, the 3C and eXCeption versions are particularly convincing. For very rough, rocky terrain, the IKON 3C is also available in the EXO-Protection version, which safely protects the sidewalls with little extra weight. 

Exo Protection
This extremely cut and abrasion resistant material protects the sidewall of various MTB tyres. It is very tightly woven, lightweight and very flexible. As a result, the performance of the tyres remains convincingly good.

3C Max Speed
The three different Maxxis 3C Triple Compound MTB all use a harder base compound and two progressively softer compounds on top for optimum performance in the respective areas of use. Different, individually optimised compounds are used for each area of use.

The 3C Maxx Speed for XC and some AllMountain / Enduro tyres is designed for lowest rolling resistance due to the hard base and the fast compound in the centre of the tread, but with the grippy compound on the sides it also offers superior grip in corners, even in wet conditions. The very long service life is also typical of MAXXIS.
