Ortler E-Summerfield Trapeze 7-speed classic red (classic red)
Due to bottlenecks and delays in worldwide supply chains, the manufacturer may have replaced individual components from the original specification with equivalent or even higher quality components. Therefore, the bicycle delivered may deviate from the images in certain cases.
Unless stated otherwise all of our bikes and brake accessories are sold according to the EU standard brake setup (right hand rear and left hand front) which is in reverse to UK standard brake setup.
Please note: the majority of our electronic products that come with plugs are fitted with 2-pronged EU plugs as standard. The operating voltage remains the same, however you may require an additional, simple EU to UK adapter to use them
The Ortler E-Summerfield is a high quality City E-Bike of the latest generation with a powerful Shimano Steps E-5000 mid-engine. In addition to the modern electric drive, the E-Summerfield convinces with a well thought-out and durable detail equipment. A Shimano Nexus 7 gear shift is responsible for the correct gear selection, braking is provided by hydraulic Magura HS11 brakes, which ensure the correct deceleration at any time and in any weather. Schwalbe Big Ben tyres with their excellent damping characteristics guarantee high driving comfort even on dirt and gravel roads.
The equipment package is rounded off by a Büchel LED lighting system, a stable luggage carrier and a double pannier bag. The Shimano Steps drive is a modern mid-engine system, which is characterized by high reliability, much power and long range. The special highlights of the Shimano Steps drive are the pushing aid, the multifunctional display and the long range. The battery is 80% charged after 2 hours and fully charged after 4 hours. The battery can also be recharged directly on the wheel thanks to the integrated charging socket.

The bike arrived very well packaged and on time by courier. It looks beautiful and is also very comfortable. The detachable saddlebags made of genuine leather are also great. However, opening and closing is not very fast.
However, a few things could be different. On the one hand, the rear light cables run along the side of the fender. It would be visually nicer if these were hidden throughout the mudguard. However, the light itself is excellent.
Another small drawback for me is the back pedal brake. It takes a little getting used to, especially when climbing up. However fully functional. Last but not least, my biggest criticism. Although I'm not sure if I have a "Monday bike". Because the 6th gear only works properly when I shift from 5th to 6th gear. However, when I shift from 7th to 6th gear, the chain rattles past some cogs and I occasionally step into space.
The battery lasts a long time and has a very good range and with the large wheels you pick up speed quickly.
CONCLUSION:
A beautiful bike, with great features and great range. However, my circuit is definitely defective.
