The Solar Ultra incorporates the power of technical materials, and embodies Rab's drive to develop high performance gear. Quick-drying, lightweight and durable, the Solar Ultra 2 features heat-reflective TILT technology and offers excellent thermal performance despite its light weight. The narrow, tapered mummy shape provides less volume and weight, which is ideal for fast adventures with as little equipment as possible in cold conditions. The women's sleeping bag is slightly shorter, narrower at the shoulders and slightly wider at the hips than the standard sleeping bag - for more thermal performance.
The three-layer insulation material made from Stratus Eco is arranged in an accordion shape - the Solar Ultra mimics the function of down in a lightweight, featherless construction. Integrated TILT technology not only reduces radiant heat loss by up to 15%, but significantly improves insulation without compromising the size, breathability or weight of the sleeping bag. The quilted elastic liner hugs the wearer closer with lining and insulation, avoiding cold bridges. Quilted in places, the insulating lining is joined with as few quilting seams as possible to reduce the risk of cold bridges.
It has a ¾-length main zipper with wind flap along its entire length to prevent body heat from escaping to the outside, and an adjustable, cozy thermal collar for zipping up with the same function. With its durable 20D Atmos shell made from polyester, the Solar Ultra is the ultimate synthetic sleeping bag for the mountains or for biking and backpacking with as little gear as possible.
