In my direct comparison against SRAM...
Translated from the German
To the original
This one with a 200mm Red Cycling disc on the HR, against SRAM pads and disc 180mm on the front, about 400m destroyed on a steep road and trail:
Red Cycling: Braking power good. But they got very hot and then started to squeak. The (previously new) disc has turned purple in the area of the pads. Brake caliper really warm.
SRAM: nothing like that. Looks like nothing would have happened. Tried to give similar amount of stopping power front and rear. outside temp. only about 10°C.
My first conclusion: Braking power is very good, but they seem to overheat quickly. Definitely much faster than organic pads from SRAM or Shimano. But these things cost a lot less. In this respect one can say price/performance OK.
In theory, the difference could also come from the RedCycling disc counterpart, but probably not.
