Green Compound
Tread rubber made from renewable and recycled raw materials. Schwalbe's newly developed special technology makes it possible for the first time to produce the compound on the tread (tread rubber) of a bicycle tyre from renewable and recycled raw materials. The Green Compound offers good performance in terms of grip and durability. A bicycle tyre consists of many different materials. The tread, however, is made entirely of rubber and accounts for approximately 70 to 80 percent of the total rubber content of the tyre. This is precisely where the use of sustainably produced rubber makes the most sense.

The advantages of Green Compound
Rubber is made from natural rubber from renewable rubber trees and from recycled rubber materials such as rubber gloves and door seals. In addition to raw materials, this also saves energy during production. In addition, the Green Compound does not contain any soot. All in all, a good step towards sustainability.
