Product description

Sea to Summit Ascent AC II Sleeping Bag Regular moss/spruce (moss/spruce)

Light, warm, comfortable and most importantly, adaptable. The Ascent is the sleeping bag of choice for most adventures, most of the time. Offering the perfect backpacking balance of comfort vs weight, the Ascent Series sleeping bags have more space than traditional mummy bags, yet still provide the thermal efficiency you need when exploring above the tree-line.

The Free-Flow triple-zip design ensures your sleeping bag retains maximum warmth and efficiency when needed and multiple ventilation options when it’s not. The half zip on the right side of the bag provides freedom of movement for both arms, additional ventilation and means the top third of the bag can be folded down as a mini quilt. The full length, two-way left side zip and separate foot zip transforms the bag into a full quilt for when the mercury climbs higher than expected.

If it’s warmth you’re after, close all the zips, pull the cord locks tight to drag everything in, and relax in luxurious comfort. The generous allocation of high quality 750+ Loft down ensures great insulation, while the oversized draft tubes prevents your body heat escaping. The panelled footbox and 3-dimensional hood make sure you’re not compressing the down when you’re trying to stay warm.

Vertical baffles over the chest section ensure the down insulation cannot migrate or shift to the outside of the bag during sleep, creating cold spots. A side block baffle construction maintains the 60/40 fill ratio, keeping more down on the top of the bag for maximum insulation.

Quality bag with good functions
Translated from the Swedish To the original
Positively Really nice sleeping bag with the adjustment options that the zippers provide. Good puff in the bag if it is allowed to lie uncompressed. Likes the shape - tapered rectangular. That's why I bought it when I get claustrophobia in ordinary mummy bags. This is just the right size, not too big or too small. Possibly that I with my 173cm would have needed a shorter bag but the next step is too short. The bag has a feeling and appearance of quality. Negative I froze on my back when I was lying on my side. It has a 60/40 distribution of the down on the top and bottom. Not clear how good it really is. Bought the bag a lot because it is a little more spacious as I move a lot at night and like to sleep on the side. It was just when I lay on my side that it could get cold on my back and then it was estimated and forecast of 2-4 plus degrees during the night. Other information Have so far only used it on a 3-day hike where I used the bag 2 nights in wind protection together with an exped sight 7 medium wide. Could it be that there is a big difference between using it in tents that are more windproof? but I doubt it can handle the comfort temp of -4 or the limit of -10 which is the bag's comfort temp for men. If you have a regular sleeping pad of 52cm in width, it will probably be even more critical when I with my 65cm wide sleeping pad one night experienced cold from the sides at the bottom of the bag when I was lying on my back. The bag would have gotten 5 stars if I had not frozen. It may only be worth 3.5 stars but it can not be rated. Bikester was very good to have and do with my purchase and was very accommodating in the matter. Really wanted to buy AC1 but it was out of stock. They met me nicely in the contact and released AC2 a little cheaper despite tight profit margins. Then the sack was already reduced to be added.
