Product description
Shimano Deore XT Trekking SL-T8000 Shift Lever 10-speed black (black)
Like its mountain bike counterpart, the new XT T8000 with trekking-specific components offers first-class functionality for demanding riders. The 3x10 Rapidfire Plus shift levers use Shimano's top technologies of instant, multi and 2-way release to guarantee fast and precise gear changes.
Rapidfire Plus
Rapidfire Plus is suitable for fast shifting. The new I-Spec II with its narrow clamp provides a tidy appearance, less weight and more space on the handlebar. An elegant appearance and high-quality technologies distinguish Shimano's new SLX. The rider can shift down up to three gear steps with one shift stroke.
2-Way Release
Rapidfire Plus levers are equipped with 2-Way Release (release in two directions). This means that the cable is released by pulling with the index finger or pressing with the thumb.
Instant Release
The instant release shifting process replaces the two-step click and release process. An elegant appearance and high-quality technologies distinguish Shimano's new SLX. The brand-new mid-range group offers countless of the performance features that already distinguish its "big sister", the Deore XT, and combines them with an excellent price-performance ratio, extreme robustness and comprehensive versatility.

Like a new life

after 15,000 km I have a Shimano LX - replaced by an XT shifter. I am amazed that the XT circuit is actually much more precise, smoother and faster. You can upshift 5 gears at once. As a result, it is possible to move forward much faster, especially when the ground is changing.

habs not yet mounted, but it is XT on it. Will probably be as good on the MTB and offer the same features as the on my trekking bike, so dual release and two switching steps in a switching process while relaxing.
