Product description
SRAM RED XG-1290 Cassette 12-speed silver (silver)
The workhorse of X-Range gearing. The SRAM RED XG-1290 cassette progresses fluidly and quickly through a wider range of gears. It’s specifically designed for wireless electronic shifting and the one-piece design offers you the best in weight savings.
Deep Range
Racing bikes and their riders are faster and more powerful than ever before. But the gear ratio of our bikes has not kept pace with this change. It has been limited by tradition. With the sole aim of improving the modern riding experience on the road, we have completely redesigned the road bike gear ratio.
The new Deep Range technology. Not only does it offer more gear ratio bandwidth, but this bandwidth is also better. It has "depth": a smoother, more useful gear graduation. Intelligent shift settings, enabled by AXS, bring the simplicity of a 1-speed drive to 2-speed. So you always have the right gear and the gear ratio does not stand in your way. Drive faster, more efficiently and more comfortably with Deep Range technology.
X-Dome
The X-DOME technology creates an incredibly light, precise and robust cassette. The open design repels dirt better and gives you smoother shifting performance and longer component life.
X-Glide
Imagine that you can switch whenever you want, regardless of external circumstances. And we're talking about shifting at full power. The advantage of the X-Glide drive is obvious, but if you think about it more carefully, it has an enormous effect on your driving experience. TRUVATIV's crank engineers have developed a completely new chainring geometry. They have matched the chainrings of different sizes exactly to each other and reworked the points where the chain and chainring meet. By matching the chainring teeth to the chain link pins, you get twice as many shifting possibilities.
XDR
The XDR drive body is a universal mounting system for cassettes that have sprockets with less than 11 teeth. It enables lighter and more versatile drives without the need for new axle standards, hub conversions or even new cassette tools. The XDR interface is 1.85 mm longer than XD and is designed for racing hub applications. XDR drive bodies are compatible with all XD cassettes when the cassette is installed with a 1.85 mm spacer behind it.
