Firstly should mention that I cycle lots on a racing bike but wanted these for cycling to work / shops / beach etc when full Lycra cycling kit is not really appropriate / necessary for short journeys.
The trouser part is great.
Lightweight and stretchy. Good fit, true to size, has washed well so far.
But the pad is not for cyclists. It is far too bulky around the seat in parts which are never in contact with the saddle and makes you walk like you are waddling. It is very well made, and neatly integrates into the trousers with a button tab. However I found it highly uncomfortable as there is just too much bulk in the pad.
The pad also seems disproportionately large for the size of the shorts. Maybe it's a one size fits all design and might work fine for larger frames. If I need to, I’ll wear cycling liner shorts inside for a more comfortable fit, but casting aside the inner shorts makes this a rather expensive option for what it is.
