Lapierre Zesty TR 4.9 – A bit more trail bike
The Zesty is Lapierre's full-sus all-mountain bike. The TR version comes with a little less suspension travel (120 millimetres) and a good dollop of liveliness; a proper trail bike that strays a bit into XC territory. If your local trails don't contain too many rough jumps and drops, you'll have more fun and ride faster with this version than with a fully-fledged enduro bike.
OST+ - Suspension
Optimised Suspension Technology, which has been continuously refined for over ten years, ensures perfect suspension performance both uphill and downhill. Now in the Plus version, the rear triangle rotates around a virtual pivot point in front of the bottom bracket. The sensitively responding rear triangle is decoupled from pedal forces by the system. This means that the suspension does not influence your pedalling – and vice versa!
Equipment
Compared to the 3.9, the Zesty TR 4.9 offers a higher level of components, which is first and foremost noticeable in the choice of fork. The RockShox 35 Gold RL offers 130 millimetres of travel at the fork and can be locked from the handlebar. The gears and brakes are split: a SRAM SX Eagle shifts 12 gears over a range of 11 to 50 teeth, while Deore brakes from Shimano are responsible for stopping. Together they make a reliable package that gives you a lot of performance for your money.
