Established in 1952, this Japanese company had a mission to produce quality bike tyres for cyclists. Excitingly, Panaracer has achieved this thanks to careful design work, the use of top quality materials and high levels of craftsmanship. To meet the needs of different cyclists the world over, the company produces a wide range of different tyre types. Each type fits the demands of that particular skill and offers high-level performance.
It doesn't matter if you're a beginner or a pro, cycling to work or touring off-road, this company has a tyre to match the purpose. Panaracer also makes sure that all the necessary tyre accessories are also available, including inner tubes, repair kits and more. Take a look at the Panaracer tyres we have available in this Bikester tyre guide.
Cycling for the city
Panaracer offers an impressive line of successful road tyres. The ProTite Clincher is one of the latest models available. This tyre is available in a number of different sizes and uses the ProTite puncture technology. What this means is that there is even more puncture resistance than before — perfect for road use and around cities. On top of that, this tyre also comes with a durable cruncher compound and a pressure psi ranging from 85 and up.
For those of you looking to go off-road, or needing something that can be used on gravel, then there are a number of Panaracer tyres available. The Gravelking SK is an exceptional option as it offers a mixed tread. The tyre is made from Zero slip grip (ZSO) natural rubber and has low rolling resistance as well as puncture protection. What's more, TLC tyres from this manufacturer can be ridden as tubeless tyres.
Depending on which Panaracer gravel tyres you choose, you will be able to get them in different combinations of brown and black. These tyres are fitted for 28in wheels, but have a range of diameters (there are four different widths) and pressure psis depending on which model you get. Although the company itself has not expressly stated this, these tyres can be used across a range of bikes, including e-bikes, although this latter is best avoided.
On top of tyres, Panaracer has a number of helpful tyre accessories available. Despite having several tubeless tyre options, the company still makes sure that it provides quality inner tubes for those tyres that need them. These inner tubes are made from butyl and can be easily patched using the butyl kit.
The repair kits come with everything you need, including cement, scissors and a patch. Tubeless tyre repair kits are also available. These kits can patch up a tyre, inflate it and get you going again within minutes.
Alternatively, you can take pre-emptive measures against a flat in the first place, by grabbing Panaracer's Poly-Lite rim tape. This strong tape provides a shield for your tube against the rim or spokes. It's perfect to set in place around the rim and comes in a variety of different widths.
