The Reaction 240 SLX takes a deliberately minimalist approach in the name of performance. From the thinner handlebar and grips to the lightweight rigid carbon fork, they've sweated the details to make this a lightweight, fast, fun and safe bike for aspiring racers. A 10-speed Microshift transmission delivers crisp, accurate gear changes across a wide range. Light, powerful V-brakes offer plenty of stopping power. That's why the Reaction 240 SLX uses the same kind of heat-treated 6061 aluminium tubes that you'll find in the performance adult bikes, as well as the same mechanical tube-forming process to adjust tube shapes for the best combination of strength and weight. A replaceable derailleur hanger insures against expensive repairs in the event of minor mishaps, and there's plenty of clearance for wide tyres to ensure great grip, comfort and safety.
